First Show

Sherry Wise and I arrived early to meet Heather and Leah there. So we had a chance to catch up with one another before show time. Doors were supposed to open at 5:15 p.m. but didn't get in until about 5:45 p.m. We went to our usual table there. Got situated, then went to say "Hi" to Jimmy and check out the new Marty merchandise. Some other friends arrived just before show time so we sat and visited them. Lights went down and here comes the Rock & Roll Cowboys followed closely by Marty!

Marty was dressed in all black. Surprise, Surprise. Started the show off with "High On A Mountain Top," "Doin' My Time," "Whiskey," talked about Travis and Theresa having a baby boy. Then went into "Blue Train," "Tempted," "Dark As A Dungeon." Introduced the guys and went into "Burn Me Down."

Then he talked about the new record and he really thinks every house should have at least two copies. I'll agree with that. Started off with "Sometimes The Pleasure's Worth The Pain," "Red, Red Wine and Cheatin' Songs," "Hobo's Prayer" (one of my personal favorites). Then all too soon it was time for "Hillbilly Rock." Went off stage and returned wearing his beautiful long blue coat with the pink lining. He did "The Pilgrim." Such a beautiful song.

Went backstage for the Meet & Greet, quite a few people there for it. Saw Gary and said "Hello". Visited with Steve for a bit, then on to the second show!!!!!
