Country music star Marty Stuart will hold a book signing Thursday at the MSU Riley Center for his book Country Music: The Masters.

The large coffee table photograph book will be available for purchase and Stuart will autograph the book for the purchaser from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Also on Thursday Stuart will be in town for the unveiling of his “star” on the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Center’s Walk of Fame in front of The MSU Riley Center at 5:15 p.m.

Thursday's events precede the official opening scheduled for Saturday of Stuart's Sparkle and Twang exhibit of collectibles ranging from performance costumes to handwritten lyrics, personal letters, musical instruments and unpublished photographs of legends in the music business.

The exhibit will be open Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday noon-4 p.m. The admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students in kindergarten through college.

At 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, Stuart performs at the MSU Riley Center along with Merle Haggard in a concert presented by the Jimmie Rodgers Foundation. Tickets are $63-$69.
