Grand Ole Opry member Marty Stuart kicked off 2008 with six Opry appearances in just six weeks. He continues to make country music's most famous stage a priority with more upcoming performances than ever. Opry fans can catch Marty on February 29, March 1, March 7, March 8, and March 22 before he heads out on the road with his all-star band, the Fabulous Superlatives, for concert dates across the U.S. and Europe.

Marty’s long history with the Opry includes his first appearance at age 13 with Flatt & Scruggs. He was invited to become a member himself 20 years later.

“The Grand Ole Opry is entering an exciting era,” says Marty. “While there's so much history behind us, the challenge is now forging a new chapter and making more history. I love being a part of that.”

An avid collector of country music memorabilia, Marty and wife Connie Smith recently donated several pieces of their extensive collection to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum as a Valentine's Day “gift of love” on February 13. Along with some of Marty and Connie’s own stage outfits and instruments, the contribution included Lester Flatt's prized 1950 Martin D-28 guitar, a suit that belonged to Johnny Cash, and a suitcase that housed the songs of Hank Williams.
