Nonconformist Marty Stuart Stays True To His Roots

It's tough to figure how Marty Stuart finds time to breathe.

He plans to have at least four CDs released before the year's end, including a follow-up to his award-nominated gospel album Soul's Chapel. Also there is Live at the Ryman, a bluegrass collection and finally, a compilation of duets he's recorded with a "Who's Who" of bluegrass and country music giants over the years.

He's a photographer and a country-music historian, with a collection of more than 20,000 pieces of the genre's memorabilia. Some of his material has been displayed at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee, some has been in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington and some will be displayed in a traveling exhibit Stuart is developing.
