The 6th Annual Roger Miller Festival is right around the corner. This year’s festival will be held Saturday, October 25th. We are excited and pleased to announce that MARTY STUART will be our star performer at the festival concert. Marty and his band, The Fabulous Superlatives, will present two concerts on Saturday night.

Marty Stuart has always had a deep love for music that began as a small child growing up in Mississippi. He received his first guitar at age 3 and has been going strong ever since. Marty began playing with Lester Flatt in his teens. He has toured with Bob Dylan, played on albums by Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young and Billy Joel, and had a six year stint with Johnny Cash. Marty recorded and released his first album Marty Stuart in 1986. Since that time Marty has had four gold albums and countless single hits. Marty’s career continues to go strong and he is considered one of the best instrumentalists in the business. His love for the fans is unending and there will be an opportunity for visitors to the festival to “meet and greet” the star. Marty Stuart bridges the traditional/bluegrass/gospel past of country music with the new rockabilly, Southern Rock, contemporary sound. Marty is married to the Sweetheart of the Grand Ole Opry, Connie Smith.

Tickets will go on sale in late summer. A special “festival” edition of the “Do-Wacka-Do” will be mailed within the next few weeks stating the date the tickets will go on sale, the times of the concerts, where you can purchase tickets, etc. They will be available online and by phone.
