Marty Stuart, a Grammy Award-winning country music artist, will be among the list of entertainers performing at the 58th annual Greene County Fair next week.

Stuart, who has garnered four Grammy Awards and numerous other accolades during his outstanding career in country music, will take the Main Stage on Tuesday evening for one show, beginning at 8 p.m.

“We’re fortunate to have Marty Stuart performing here this year,” said Greene County Fair board president Teddy Clowers.

“I expect there there will be a big crowd there to see him on Tuesday night,” Clowers added.

Throughout his long-career, Stuart has performed with some of the greatest names in country music. He began his journey in the business with the late bluegrass great Lester Flatt, with whom he performed until Flatt’s death in 1979.

Stuart’s biggest success to date came through his friendship with country rocker Travis Tritt.

The two entertainers teamed up in the 1990s for a string hits, including “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’,” a song that earned the duo a Grammy Award in 1992.
