Country music stars Marty Stuart and Connie Smith threw a Valentine's party Wednesday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The husband and wife performers also showed off some of the gifts they're donating from their personal collections. Their donations include musical instruments, outfits, pictures and other items to the hall's permanent collection.

Stuart is also a historian who owns a large collection of country music instruments and memorabilia.

Legendary bluegrass musicians Earl Scruggs and Ricky Skaggs as well as country star Vince Gill also were on hand with Stuart for the chance to pick and sing together.

Radio personality Eddie Stubbs also attended the presentation.
