Cousin Kenny Vaughan And Deke Dickerson On The Marty Stuart Show

This appeared in the Nashville Scene - March 14, 2012

If you've been around Nashville clubs for any amount of time, chances are you've run across Kenny Vaughan, whether he's been pickin' his geetar with his own trio (Monday nights at 12 South Taproom when he's not on the road), Greg Garing and a whole lot of other sideman gigs, or his bread-and-butter job with Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives.

On Friday's episode of RFD-TV's The Marty Stuart Show, Vaughan and California guitar phenom Deke Dickerson did a pretty bitchin' version of the Joe Maphis/Larry Collins song "Early American." And they managed to pull it off with Duane Eddy sitting in the front row watching. Hang in there 'til the end for some impressive four-handed, double-neck pyrotechnics.
