Quoting Marty Stuart following the unveiling of the Mississippi Country Music Trail marker in his honor: "Every time you drive past this marker, remember one thing. It stands for unity. It stands for love. It stands for God's grace on a life."

Certainly our community was a united one last weekend. As Leah Cole Jarrell said: "Everyone there had a Marty story." He belonged to everyone of us. He has made us proud.

Tickets to the event were sold for $10 a person. Marty's one stipulation was that all proceeds go toward the restoration of the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Performing Arts Theatre.
