Now that's country Christmas. Grammy-winning country singer Marty Stuart will be grand marshal for this year's Nashville Gas Christmas Parade which rolls down Broadway and West End for the 41st time Sunday, December 5.

"Marty Stuart is an excellent, dynamic performer and he will no doubt bring that energy to the Christmas Parade this year," said Nashville Gas president Bill Denny in a statement making the announcement. Nashville Gas sponsors the annual parade with WKRN-Channel 2, which will broadcast the parade live.

"This is a real honor for me," said Stuart, whose hits include Hillbilly Rock, Tempted, and This One's Gonna Hurt You. "Nashville is my home, and there's no more special place to be than in Nashville for the holiday season. What a great way to kick things off."

The parade will start at 2 p.m. at Ninth Avenue and Broadway and end at 25th and West End Avenues. It will be preceded by the 13th running of the 5-kilometer Rudolph's Red Nose Run, benefiting Big Brothers of Nashville.
